Micro-Pigmentation Centre was the first company in Canada to develop the format of a 4-day course and has become the model for other training schools. There is generally a two-month waiting period for the course and classes are kept small with a ratio of two teachers to five students. This intensive 4-day training course runs from Monday to Thursday.
The 4-day course is followed by an intensive workshop on the Friday that is dedicated to shading techniques using magnum-sized needles. This advanced workshop is an essential addition to the 4-day course and will prepare you to confidently perform lip shading and areola shading. Additional fees apply for the fifth day with a discount for graduates of the Micro-pigmentation Centre.
The third option for training is a 1-day advanced level course for technicians who want to upgrade. During this course students can troubleshoot issues they are having with any of the procedures. The workshop is designed to focus specifically on the training needs of the technicians present.
Our courses include:
- Hands-on practice for all procedures.
- Models (Provided by the school or students may bring their own.)
- All supplies used during the duration of the course.

• The Curriculum
The course curriculum covers all the procedures for eyeliner, eyebrows and lips. For use during the course the Micro-pigmentation Centre has designed a bilingual study book that describes each pigment and details each color available. Sterilization guidelines are taught according to standards set by Health Canada. Color theory and mixing formulation are taught and the instruction covers other color related issues such as the effects of melanin, the body’s natural pigment, which influences skin tone and affects the final appearance of the procedure. Other important features of the course include how to take a client history, get a client waiver, all post care procedures and anesthetic techniques.
